New Year of SIMPLICITY
Happy NEW Year! We made it... what a blessing!
As I reflect on this past year, I definitely fell short of completing the goals on my 2016 list. I did accomplish a few great things too, so I’m trying not to be incredibly hard on myself. Then I started thinking about it and so often we set all of these new year resolution goals that we have no motivation to achieve because our balloon deflates as time progresses on. So this year I want to take goal setting to a new level. I’m striving for SIMPLICITY this year. I’m looking to set only achievable goals that no longer overwhelm me, but do still push me to be better.
2016 rocked my world in ways unimaginable. Some good, some interesting, some unexpected. But I am grateful and look to the future with a new concept.
Here are a few things I'm striving to achieve in 2017.
MAIN FOCUS | SIMPLICITY
- Complete a Contentment Challenge {1-3 months of no excess spending}
- Complete One-Year Bible Reading Plan
- Make Room for Less Stuff.
- More Time, Less Distraction
- More Prayer, Less Worry
- More Exercise, Less Stress
- More Joy, Less Frustration
- More Jesus, Less Me
- Live Simply | Simply Live
I am best driven by goal setting, even though at times it stresses me to my core... and it's during those stressful moments that I really dislike myself. My heart and intent is way better than my presentation sometimes and I really want to be a better version of myself. I want my actions to genuinely match my intentions rather than let emotions take over. So I'm hoping that by ridding myself of clutter and junk (whether that's physically and/or mentally), I will become more who Christ created me to be and less of who I think I should be.
So set goals this year that push you and feel free to share a few of them with me. I would love to hold you accountable and I definitely need you to help encourage me along the way.
You were made to be great, so let's become who we were designed to be as we launch ourselves into a fresh new season.
Love you guys!
